About Our Pastor

I was born into a preacher’s home and from the age of six have been involved with church, particularly music within the church.  At age eighteen I responded to the call of God to preach. For approximately seven years I was the assistant pastor to my father in Indiana. It was while living in Indiana that God allowed the soulmate of my life to cross my path and in 1995 I married the best teammate that God could have ever given my ministry.

Shortly after we were married we began a fulltime evangelistic ministry that lasted thirteen months. Evangelistic work led us to a small church in East Peoria, Ill. where we assumed the pastorate.  God smiled on us while in Illinois and we were blessed with tremendous growth.  We were only nineteen months into this endeavor when God began to shift my focus.  God had removed my father from a very successful evangelistic ministry and he had assumed the pastorate here at The Lighthouse Church.  My father and I talked almost everyday and one day he mentioned to me that it would be nice to be able to work together again. It was at this time that I understood the change of focus and in 1998 my wife and I moved to Columbia to assume the role of associate pastor of The Lighthouse Church.  My wife and I also administrated and operated our Christian school for four years.

April 6, 2008 began a new era of time for TLC.  My family and I at the direction of God were placed in the role as senior pastor of the church. God has shown His approval by allowing spiritual and physical growth since that time.

It is my heartfelt desire to see The Lighthouse Church become the hub of a true movement of God's spirit. We are endeavoring to reach out to so many that have not yet been touched by the love and compassion of Jesus Christ through the extension of the believers here at TLC. I along with my family have committed our lives to helping share the message of hope to our community and the world.  We believe that the true body of Christ crosses all boundaries of culture and religion opening it’s arms to "whosoever will come".

Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

KJV

My desire is to promote the kingdom of God in the role as Senior Pastor of the greatest group of beleivers this side of heaven. I give to you a heartfelt invitation to join with us in lifting Jesus Christ a little higher.
